My life has been marked by movement: many moves within Mexico and then the big leap to Norway. For years, I juggled a steady job with an unstable location, carrying my artistic practice with me in a box of paints, brushes, and paper.
Today,
I dedicate myself entirely to art. I have a family. A home. And although the spaces where I paint may change—a corner of the living room, a table and chair, while the family sleeps—the artistic practice itself has become the most stable place in my life.
Art isn't confined to a room. It's part of my home. It feeds on everything I've experienced: the intellect, the strange and inexplicable, paranormal experiences, dreams that arrive like unexpected visitors. Everything filters through and finds its way onto the paper.
Friends, collectors, and fellow artists tell me that this resonates with them. That something in the work feels alive, meaningful, authentic. I hope you feel it too.
This is my studio. It moves with me. It always has.
